Foster
Want to bring another cat but the spouse says 7 is enough? Then fostering is for you!
As a temporary foster home, you’ll be responsible for caring for rescued cats in your indoor home, until they can be fixed and ready for adoption. Transportation of your foster kitties to vet appts and adoption events is required, as well as giving your fosters routine medications, and lots of love of course. Smittens provides all veterinary care as well as most kitty supplies. We have a need for all levels of fosters: bottle babies, moms with litters, kittens, adults, seniors, cats with medical needs . . . sometimes even a dog!
Adoption Center Volunteer
Become a part of an awesome community of Petsmart and PETCO volunteers and employees, for just 1 hour a week.
We currently have pet store adoption centers that need daily volunteers to clean litterboxes, refill food and water, and give kitties some playtime to stretch their legs outside of their cages.
Transporter
The thankless part of the job – the transporter. Quite often a cat urgently needs medical care and transportation to a vet, or baby kittens need a ride out of a shelter before they close! That’s where our fabulous transporters come in. It’s as glamorous as it sounds – driving a meowing cat from one place to another.
Administrative Support
We’re really good at rescuing cats here in cat rescue, but not so savvy with the administration side. Do you have skills and time to donate to the cause? We are always looking for those who can help with accounting, IT, web management, data entry, social media, and legal to name a few.
